The Reeds Spring R-IV School District will accept declarations of candidacy (MO Statute § 115.347) from qualified persons interested in running as a School Board Director for one of two (2) positions for a three-year term in the April 2, 2024, election.
Candidate filing will be held at the Superintendent’s Office located at 20281 State Hwy 413, Reeds Spring, MO, behind the High School, and begins no earlier than 8:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. (§ 115.349) Filing continues December 6-8, 2023; December 12-15, 2023; and December 18-21, 2023, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted on the school website. Reeds Spring Schools will be closed for the holidays December 22-29, 2023. The Superintendent’s Office will be open on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, for the last day of filing from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. (§ 115.329),
All candidates MUST APPEAR IN PERSON to file and forms MUST BE SIGNED in front of the Board Secretary, or designee, at the time of filing. Each candidate’s name will be placed on the ballot in the order of filing, pursuant to Board Policy G-235-P.
Qualified candidates may file for only ONE of the open positions on the dates and times listed above. (§ 115.135) Filing WILL NOT occur on Monday, December 11, 2023, (no school), and during the holidays as noted, or on days that the District Office is closed due to inclement weather, etc. Office hours are subject to change.

Candidates who intend to file may pick up a packet IN PERSON to complete in advance beginning Tuesday, November 28, 2023; however, completed forms WILL NOT be accepted prior to Tuesday, December 5th, at 8:00 a.m., (MO Statute § 115.127). All candidates MUST APPEAR IN PERSON and forms MUST BE SIGNED in front of the Board Secretary or designated person.
Candidates can file for ONLY ONE of two open positions for a three-year term.

December 5-8, 2023; Tuesday-Friday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)
December 12-15, 2023, Tuesday-Friday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)
December 18, Monday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)
December 19, Tuesday (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm)
December 20, Wednesday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm)
December 21, Thursday (1:00 - 4:00 p.m.)
Last Day to file (as required by law): Tuesday, December 26 (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
Additional dates School or Admin Office will be closed during the filing dates of December 5-26, 2023:
No School: Monday, December 11, 2023 (4-day school week)
School Holidays: Monday, December 22, 2023, until Tuesday, January 8, 2024 (except for Tuesday, Dec. 26th, from 2:00-5:00 p.m.)
Office hours are subject to change. Additional closings will be posted on the school’s website and on the front door of the Administrative Offices.

Board Reorganization Meeting: Tuesday, April 16, 2023 (Elected candidates are sworn in & Board is reorganized)
